Poongar Rice

Poongar rice is an aromatic heirloom variety rich in fibre and known for its cooling properties in traditional Siddha cuisine. It's commonly prepared as plain steamed rice or a light kanji, especially favoured during summer months. A gently processed rice that retains much of its natural nutrition.
